It’s a tough year for everyone this year - we’re definitely seeing the shadow side of many recent business and financial decisions. So rather than trying to arrange meetings and cancelling them, we waiting till after the summer for our first event. Hopefully we will see some recovery by then.

We also felt it would be useful to get back to the real basics and origins of Type theory - and are delighted that Steve Myers is going to join us to give us an interactive day to explore the Fundamentals of Jung’s theories.

So put the date in your diary: Tuesday 22nd September, University Women’s Club, London.

The Agenda

The Fundamentals of Jung’s Theories

Introduction

Jung and Myers Briggs
- similarities and differences between Jung’s and Briggs Myers’
theories of psychological type
- consciousness and the unconscious (personal/collective)
- compensation and the inferior function
- normality, neurosis, complexes and archetypes
- ego, persona and psychological type

Jung’s model of normal growth/development
- the key archetypes (shadow, anima/us, self/god-image)
- myth, symbol and the transcendent function
- otherness, opposites and the integration of evil
- individuation as a natural process
- the role of dreams for non-neurotics
- alchemy and transformation

Religion and Christianity
- Did Jung believe in God?
- Jung’s critique of Christianity
- Christianity and Alchemy
- Synchronicity
- Jung’s myth of the incarnation of God

Applications of Jung’s ideas
- Illustration of some principles through the examination of the
impact of President Obama’s leadership on international relations

Then insert the more tag and the rest of your details after the tag.

That way we should be able to see the list of members at a glance.

We’ll work on getting a more robust profiling system up if this doesn’t give us what we want.
